Your gift to orphans will be matched dollar-for-dollar

Little Ashrena shuts her eyes to block out the rest of the world. Her traumatic experiences of abuse, neglect and being locked in a dark room have manifested in this primitive defense mechanism.

Defenseless children growing up without proper care are forced to come up with ways to deal with the pain, loneliness, fear and confusion they face every day. Ashrena copes by keeping her eyes closed.

Only 2 years old, Ashrena has suffered a lifetime of abuse and neglect. Before being dropped off by her mother at one of our supported orphanages in Guyana, she had known nothing but suffering.

“She is very, very depressed and traumatized,” said the orphanage’s director.

Thanks to a group of generous benefactors who believe in Food For The Poor’s work of rescuing children in distress, you have a wonderful opportunity today to double your gift, and help even more children. Any gifts we receive for orphans (up to $500,000) by Dec. 31 will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, to care for precious little ones like Ashrena.

This means any amount you give will automatically DOUBLE and help twice as many orphans.

Please help us take advantage of this awesome opportunity to help twice as many hurting children by giving today!
